Bacolod – the city of smiles, the chicken inasal county, capital of the sugar industry in the Philippines and home to the famous Masskara festival. I’ve always wanted to have a shoot in Bacolod just so I could do food tripping after. So when Gilson & Kristina asked me to shoot their wedding in Bacolod, I was so excited and gastronomically pumped up!
The couple got married at The Ruins. Built in 1900’s, it is an ancestral home mansion of the family of Don Mariano Ledesma Lacson and Maria Braga Lacson situated in Talisay, Negro Occidental. Inspired by Italian architecture, The Ruins is also known as the “Taj Mahal of Talisay”. It was the perfect backdrop to this beautiful and heartfelt wedding.
I hope you enjoy this set as much as I enjoyed shooting it and eating enormous amount of chicken inasal at Aida’s.
